Where Bantry Bay in Ireland meets the wild Atlantic and the pain of the past is far too present, three lost souls stumble together united by their inability to forgive themselves. A heart-pounding and magical tapestry of romance, history, legend, and complex themes of inequality that resonated as deeply centuries ago as they do today. Perfect for fans of Susanna Kearsley, Nora Roberts, Mary Stewart, Maeve Binchy, and Susan Wiggs. After a disastrous relationship with her boss, Meg Cameron leaves her job with two bad options. Stay silent? Or speak up and ruin her career? A trip to an archeological dig gives her time to reflect on historical imbalances of power, but history refuses to stay quietly in the bloody past of Ireland's beautiful Beara Peninsula and the O'Sullivan massacre. Niall Sullivan has spent years chasing the truth of what happened to his family in 1602. But he never expected to have to bring his newly orphaned nephew, Adam, with him to excavate on Dursey Island--without internet or television or even reliable cell phone coverage. Still, time alone together in the abandoned village could be exactly what the two of them need to build the foundations of a family. Until Meg Cameron comes along. Meg and her developing relationship with Niall brings out both the best and the worst in Adam. And as danger comes from unexpected sources, they all have choices to make. Life and death choices none of them expected. ***** PRAISE FOR LAKE OF DESTINY *****       "Heartwarming, charming, and delightful!" -- New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins "I loved this!!! ★★★★★ PRAISE FOR ECHO OF GLORY ★★★★★ "A magical mix of history, legend, mystery, and romance . . . The rugged beauty of the Irish setting is a perfect backdrop . . . " -- Award-winning author Erin Cashman"Not only was the romance between Meg and Niall heartwarming, but all the other components also made this a fabulous read. I loved the setting -- once again a beautiful place with quirky characters. And the plot with the archaeology was both fascinating and thrilling." -- HP for Writers"I stayed up half the night just to finish this one. [Martina Boone's] stories are engaging and haunting. They deal with tragedy, loss, betrayal, romance and lots of history. You can actually feel the emotions of the characters you are reading about . . . " -- Gumbo Mom"Magical! Martina has a wonderful way of writing that just flows naturally and gives you the feeling of actually being there." -- Maui Reader"Managed to make me swoon, cry, and also get really hungry for donuts. The romance is so well written, but there's also a beautiful look at family and loss that really tugged at my heartstrings. As always, the backdrop was stunning. Martina does setting so well you're able to put yourself there with the characters. Echo of Glory is truly a 5 star read." -- Macy Klingerman"Couldn't put it down. I was so lost in the book I hadn't even realized it had gotten dark . . . I love all of Martina Boone's books but I think this is the best one yet. So much history and lore with a lovely romance . . . " -- Elizabeth Nyreen"I got so involved with this story that I read it all in a day! Martina Boone has once again found that combination of romance, suspense, Celtic history and lore that I love. You get so invested in her characters, they become real to you." -- Amazon Customer Erin★★★★★ PRAISE FOR LAKE OF DESTINY ★★★★★

Meg Cameron had left America to have an adventure with her mother in Ireland on an archaeological dig as volunteers. What she found was more than any adventure she had imagined. Niall Sullivan was in charge of the dig and he had a good crew, except for Kiaran. This dig had been interrupted by the death of his sister and he had become the sole guardian of his orphaned nephew, Adam. Adam was angry and bitter and grieving and he and Niall were miles apart. But, Meg helped to mend those differences and find a way for them to mend the chasm that had come between them. Meg had chasms in her own life that she needed to mend and her time in Ireland helped her to make some decisions about her future.

This is the fourth of Martina Boone's books that I have read and it did not disappoint. In fact, I stayed up half the night just to finish this one. Her stories are engaging and haunting. They deal with tragedy, loss, betrayal, romance and lots of history. You can actually feel the emotions of the characters you are reading about and to me that is a sign of a good writer.

I highly recommend all of Martina Boone's books to those who want to read a story that is full and rich and worth your time. You won't be disappointed.

I have truly enjoyed reading this novel. To learn a bit more of Irish legends was so wonderful. I have been fascinated with these legends for many years, but to have them so portrayed in a modern day genre was even better.

This book is amazing and deserves 10 stars. I have already read the CELTIC LEGENDS COLLECTIONS and fell in love with Martina Boone’s writing. I received this book as a gift and this book exceeds my expectations.

Each book is a standalone but I enjoy them so much I devour them all. This book ECHO OF GLORY is even better than the Celtic Legends. All her books are hard to put down. History if my favorite subject so I like the way she weaves historical facts while relating her fantastic story. I can see the Scottish Island – feel the breeze, hear the laps on the shore of the wild Atlantic Ocean. And the characters come alive for me. I can picture each one in my mind. Niall is leading an archeological dig on Dursey Island. He brings his newly orphaned nephew against Adam’s wish; a teen who is grieving the loss of his mother and bitter to be without cable, television and reliable phone coverage. Meg Cameron and her mother are volunteers running from past hurts. Danger, excitement, and romance makes this book wonderful in all aspects.
I recommend reading each book in her Celtic collections as well as WELCOME HOME. Get comfortable and visit with friends.

The end disappoints. Too many threads left to dangle in the wind. This story deserved the effort to wrap up all the unanswered questions left nagging.

Good storytelling and great history. Characters are believable and honest. Will look forward to the next book by this author.

I can't really tell you how much I've enjoyed listening to this book because there aren't words enough to explain how I feel.

So many problems with exciting outcomes. There were twists and turns in the story, when I thought I had it worked out it went in a different direction. I love that in a story.

You really must get this incredible book, read or listen to it yourself, I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I have. I highly recommend this book! It's amazing what you can learn.

I got so involved with this story that I read it all in a day! Martina has once again found that combination of romance, suspense, Celtic history and lore that I love. You get so invested with her characters, they become that real to you. I can't wait until her next book comes out and I always hope to hear tidbits about characters from previous books.
I received an ARC copy of the book for my consideration and this is a voluntary and honest review.

A perfect story. I loved the characters, their painful conflicted relationships, past and present. The difficult bloody history on the island off Ireland added a constant rumble of mystery to the archaeological dig. Amazing. An excellent well-written mystery romance. Wonderful characters to care for. An excellent ending which made great sense. I totally loved this story!! Highly recommended!
