About the author
Martina Boone is the award-winning author of the romantic southern gothic Heirs of Watson Island series, starting with COMPULSION from Simon & Schuster, Simon Pulse and the Celtic Legends Collection of novels set in Scotland, Cornwall, and Ireland beginning with LAKE OF DESTINY. She’s passionate about improving lives through literacy and the love of books, and she runs the Compulsion For Reading program to distribute books to underserved schools and libraries.
She lives with her husband, children, Shetland Sheepdog Phinney, and Zoey the lopsided cat, and she enjoys writing contemporary romantic fiction with a hint of magic set in small towns and beautiful places. When she isn’t writing, she’s addicted to travel, horses, skiing, chocolate flavored tea, and anything with Nutella on it.

This is the fourth of Martina Boone's books that I have read and it did not disappoint. In fact, I stayed up half the night just to finish this one. Her stories are engaging and haunting. They deal with tragedy, loss, betrayal, romance and lots of history. You can actually feel the emotions of the characters you are reading about and to me that is a sign of a good writer.
I highly recommend all of Martina Boone's books to those who want to read a story that is full and rich and worth your time. You won't be disappointed.
Each book is a standalone but I enjoy them so much I devour them all. This book ECHO OF GLORY is even better than the Celtic Legends. All her books are hard to put down. History if my favorite subject so I like the way she weaves historical facts while relating her fantastic story. I can see the Scottish Island – feel the breeze, hear the laps on the shore of the wild Atlantic Ocean. And the characters come alive for me. I can picture each one in my mind. Niall is leading an archeological dig on Dursey Island. He brings his newly orphaned nephew against Adam’s wish; a teen who is grieving the loss of his mother and bitter to be without cable, television and reliable phone coverage. Meg Cameron and her mother are volunteers running from past hurts. Danger, excitement, and romance makes this book wonderful in all aspects.
I recommend reading each book in her Celtic collections as well as WELCOME HOME. Get comfortable and visit with friends.
I recommend it!
So many problems with exciting outcomes. There were twists and turns in the story, when I thought I had it worked out it went in a different direction. I love that in a story.
You really must get this incredible book, read or listen to it yourself, I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I have. I highly recommend this book! It's amazing what you can learn.
I received an ARC copy of the book for my consideration and this is a voluntary and honest review.
