The Southern Festival of Books in Nashville is always a wonderful time. This year will be the 28th annual Festival, and I’m honored to join them for A Celebration of the Written Word.
Friday, October 14th, 2016: 12:00-5:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 15th, 2016: 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 16th, 2016: 12:00-5:00 p.m.
Come join me, Sarah Glenn Marsh, Lisa Maxwell, Jodi Meadows, and Victoria Scott for a great costume party at One More Page Books in Arlington, VA. Come dressed as a character from any of our books, wear a tacky Hawaiian Shirt or other beach finery in honor of the South Carolina beach atmosphere on Watson Island, or just throw on your favorite costume, feather boa, or glitz and glitter. There will be Q&A, games, food, and beach music to help us get the party going.

I’m really looking forward to digging into some works in progress with the inimitable and talented Lisa Gail Green at the Santa Clarity Valley RWA meeting. We’ll be taking sample pages and pointing out where things can be tweaked to capture the reader’s attention and develop the characters, plot, and reader expectations about the story question.
